Our luxurious, custom crafted 4900’ home sits at the base of Heavenly California Lodge and is within walking distance of the ski lifts! Built in 2012, the 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home has four total levels, three living and all are served by a high speed elevator. There are a number of mesmerizing and artistic pieces by Peter Lik, Thomas Arvid and James Paul Brown upon first arrival of the home. The craftsmanship and attention to detail makes this home stand out.

The master suite beholds a Cal king, 46” 3D LED TV and a private bathroom with heated Travertine floors and a Jacuzzi tub. On this same floor is a bunk room which includes two over queen bunks. Enjoy watching shows and movies in the first floor media room on an 80” 3D flat screen LED TV with DVD and Klipsch surround sound.
Wide plank hickory floors warm the floor of the great room on the second floor. Here you can enjoy the 20’ ceilings and huge windows with majestic lake and mountain views. Relax in front of the fireplace after enjoying a meal in the dining room that seats 16. Adjacent to the living room is the chef’s kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops, a 48” Wolf range, wall oven, microwave and warming drawer. The kitchen comes fully equipped with cooking essentials for you to use with high end products and appliances. Another king master suite can be found on this floor. It includes a 46” 3D LED TV, private bath with heated Travertine floors, custom cabinetry and a Jacuzzi tub. Sliding doors lead way to a large deck.
The third floor loft showcases a Connelly pool table, vaulted ceilings, 46” 3D LED TV, stereo, CD changer and stunning lake views. This floor includes a king master suite with clear cedar vaulted ceilings, fireplace, 46” 3D LED TV and has views of Lake Tahoe and East Bowls ski run as well as access to the outdoor decks. The private bath has heated Travertine floors, floor-to-ceiling shower and custom cabinetry. The other third floor bedroom has two queen beds, vaulted ceilings and gorgeous lake views.
The front deck has panoramic views of Lake Tahoe through the tree tops. The private back deck on the second floor beholds a seven person hot tub and an outdoor kitchen. The kitchen includes a slate table with seating for six and a 42” built-in Wolf grill and granite counters.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of this reservation may result in a cancellation fee. If cancellation occurs PRIOR to 60 days before arrival, the cancellation fee will be $500. If cancellation occurs WITHIN 60 days of arrival date, all rental payments will be forfeited, unless the space is re-rented. If your unit is re-booked for the same period, a full refund (less $500 cancellation fee) will be made. If a portion of your time is re-booked, a pro-rata portion of the rental payments will be refunded (less $500 cancellation fee). If it is rented during a holiday we require you to cancel 90 days prior to your arrival. Same rules apply for the holiday re-booking process for cancellation policy for refund minus the $500 cancellation fee.
Owner reserves the right to cancel this reservation should the property be removed from the vacation rental market. If this is the case, a full refund will be issued, and every effort will be made to locate a suitable replacement property.

On rare occasion, a reserved property may become unavailable due to unanticipated conditions beyond our control. We accept no liability for such an occurrence, financial or otherwise, but will make every effort to provide you with equal accommodation at the same rental rate. If we are unable to do so, or if you do not accept a provided alternative, the unused rental fees and charges will be refunded.

Deposit Policy
Reservations booked 60 days or more in advance of the rental start date are confirmed when one half of the total rental fee is received; the remaining balance is due 30 days before occupancy. Reservations made within 30 days of the arrival date are confirmed on receipt of the entire rental fee and damage deposit with any additional charges related to your rental. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard ONLY! We no longer accept Damage Deposits. We have went with the Accidental Damage Insurance Policy's. Please see Policy Information. We also have available Travel Insurance. Please see Contract or ask us for your protection and your return of money if something should come up and you are not able to make your reservation.

I was the first renter to step foot onto this property and let's just say that I arrived in style, elevator up please.... I decided to treat my family and friends to this amazing property for my 40th birthday. My dad also celebrated his 65th birthday with us that weekend and let me tell you, we were all overly impressed with The Ski Shack. I knew it would be over the top by looking at the pictures but I can't explain the feeling you get once you're actually standing in it. Every detail and luxury was built into this property, including amazing artwork chosen specifically for each room. I didn’t want to leave…ever!! I'm so grateful to the owners and to Kathy for allowing me to share such a rare oasis of luxury with my friends and family. Visibility due to the fire in Yosemite was our only challenge that weekend but we were perfectly happy staying indoors and enjoying our surroundings. I would rent this property again or any other property that Kathy advertises as a "Gem", she knows one when she sees it.
