King Fire Information:
The King Fire has been on everyone’s mind since starting on September 13. Reports dated September 28 put the fire at 87% contained and having burned over 97,000 acres. To put that in terms we might be more familiar with, that’s about 150 square miles. Many thanks to the almost 5000 personnel assigned to fight this fire! The numbers are staggering. Be aware of road closures, and please be watchful for fire equipment and personnel. Click here to see El Dorado National Forest closures, or here for Tahoe National Forest closures.
